Lily beamed at him, and from that day on, their friendship grew even stronger. They spent hours in the park together, talking and laughing, and the old man's tiredness seemed to melt away in the company of the young girl.

As the seasons changed and the years passed, Jack and Lily remained friends, their bond unbreakable. And though Jack's steps were still slow and his back still stooped, his eyes were no longer tired.
